Chiropractic Care for Neck Pain in Jackson Township, NJ

Hi everybody. Dr. Kinney here, your chiropractor for neck pain in Jackson Township, NJ.

So when people come into my office with neck pain one of the first things I look at is to see if they have good motion and movement in the spine.

When we look at what a neck spine looks like front to back should line up in a nice straight line. When we look at the next spine to the side there should be a nice banana sort of curved maybe 35, 40 degree curve to the next spine.

When we take x-rays in our office to see if there’s good motion and movement. Because if there’s not that could be a problem. And it puts a lot of stress on the nerves.

So the brain sends a spinal cord down in a tunnel created by the vertebrae and at every vertebral level are nerves that exit out.

Poor motion, old injuries or accidents, repetitive stress, looking down at your phone, your your tablet, your computer over time can perhaps cause us to lose that normal curve to the neck.

And then we couple this with old injuries or accidents where the spinal bones may even so slightly shift out of alignment.

When the vertebrae shift out of place, they usually get stuck like that and it becomes locked up and there’s not good motion and movement.

In chiropractic we call this the subluxation. So a subluxation is vertebrae that have just shifted ever so slightly out of place and they get locked up and stuck. And it starts to pinch on the nerves.

This is adjustable, this is correctable, this is what chiropractors fix in our offices. And we can verify if there’s poor motion or movement when we take very specialized x-rays in our office.

Once we identify where the subluxations are, we make the adjustments to the spine.

Chiropractic Adjustments for Neck Pain, Jackson Township NJ

Adjustments are what helps get the proper motion and the proper movement in the spinal joints. We work on correcting the curve of the next spine too to help alleviate any pinching or extra stress or pressure on the nerves.

So your body can start to heal and work like it should without drugs and without surgery and without injections and all the medications they like to prescribe for neck pain.

Usually adjustments go to the root cause of the problem. And correcting the subluxations and correcting the nerve supply is the most important thing you can do to get rid of your neck pain.

So if you’re starting to feel neck pain or stiffness then get your spine checked. Get yourself x-rayed. Come to our office so that we can see what’s going on with you and work to get your spine fixed as soon as possible.

All right thanks so much for tuning in. We’ll see you soon.
