Hi, I’m Dr. Rona Thau, and I’m here at Intrinsic Chiropractic in Jackson Township New Jersey. Today I’m going to talk a little bit about a winning strategy and specialized treatment that we offer here at the office as part of our treatment for improving posture.
The Denneroll
This is a special cervical roll that’s called the Denneroll, and we use this as you start to progress in your treatment to help put your neck in better alignment. Nowadays, most people that we see that are below the age of 30 or 35, have straightened cervical spine because they’ve grown up with computers. This causes the head to always be forward and when we look at the neck, we want to see a nice 35 to 45 degree curve in the neck. All the nerves in the neck, go to all the muscles in your in your head and your face, in the back of your neck and your upper back. They also go to your eyes and to your glands and to your ears and your face. So if those are compressed or stretched, we can have a lot of problems there. What we see with the Denneroll results are quite dramatic at times. We see people who have a negative curve in their spine, move towards a more positive curve, correcting their posture.
