Happy New Year!!  How can you make 2013 better than last year?

Its another new year! Some of us will look back on 2012 with fond memories of great times with family and friends and pride from our achievements. Many of us want to just put that last year behind us and start fresh. Whichever category you fall into, we always want to do a little better, have a little more, be a little better next year. And one of the best ways to do that is to set goals. You may have heard this before, or you may already be a goal setter, but in order to truly be a better person and achieve more in your life, its great to set some goals for yourself. All achievers, from businesses and corporations, to athletes and entertainers, all of them set goals, so why can’t you? You don’t have to be some bigwig corporate worker to set goals. I set goals with my husband, and I set goals with my team here at Intrinsic Chiropractic. Goal setting is just a way to have a clear idea where you want to go in your life. Maybe you have a goal that you would like a new car this year, or you would like to pay off a credit card, or save more money or have a great family vacation. Write it down. Maybe you want to spend more time with your kids, and have to budget your time accordingly, or you really want to lose that weight you’ve been talking about, or just be healthier. Write it down. Maybe they are business goals. Maybe they are easy like you just want to have a vegetable garden this year, or you really just have to organize that one closet. Write it down. Write them down somewhere you can read them at least once per week, if not once a day. Make some of them hard to reach and some of them easy. But the best part about goal setting is rewarding yourself when you do reach those goals, especially if it is one that was difficult. My disclaimer is, don’t stress over your goals, and don’t be bummed out if you don’t reach them. Just let them be a guide for where you would like to be, do, and have in your life. Enjoy the process. Its your life. Why not make it the best life you can. Dr. Jodi
